FAQ
Do I need a label?
No. Independent artists, labels and managers can launch campaigns.
Can I choose who promotes my music?
Yes. Choose the content creators you want to post with your track, invite them directly or review incoming offers, and review each completed publication. Confirming a post marks it dispute-free — payment is released on the schedule below either way.
How much does a campaign cost?
You choose the campaign period — up to 30 days — and which social media accounts to invite. Each account has a fixed price per post, and the sum of those prices sets your campaign’s maximum value.
To launch, you deposit 30% of that maximum value. Musin takes its 10% platform fee from the deposit, and the rest is reserved to pay creators as their posts qualify.
Your final cost depends on how many creators accept and how their posts perform — see “How is a creator’s payment calculated?” below. Anything left unspent is yours to withdraw when the campaign ends.
How do payments work?
Every payment follows the same timeline, and it works the same way for every creator on your campaign.
A post qualifies when it uses your campaign track, is published inside the campaign period, and keeps the track for the required timeframe if you set one. When the creator submits the post link, Musin records its publish date automatically.
The payment is then calculated and released from your reserved funds 14 days after that publish date, or when the campaign ends — whichever comes first. Campaigns run for a maximum of 30 days.
You can confirm a post at any point before that moment, which marks it dispute-free. Confirming does not release the payment sooner, and staying silent does not hold it back.
How is a creator’s payment calculated?
Every creator sets a fixed price per post. The payout is a percentage of that price, decided by how the post actually performed.
At the moment of payout — 14 days after publication, or campaign end, whichever comes first — Musin measures two things:
- Reach: views compared with the account’s follower count.
- Engagement: likes, comments, shares and saves compared with views.
Both are judged against what is normal for an account of that size on that platform, so a small account is never measured against a large one.
Weak on both measures pays 50% of the listed price. Strong on both pays 110%. Everything else — an ordinary result, or strong on one measure but not the other — pays the full 100%.
An artist’s cost is therefore capped even if a post goes viral, and a creator is never paid nothing for a post that qualified.
What does Musin charge?
Joining Musin is free. There are no listing fees and no subscriptions, and nothing is charged until you launch a campaign.
There are two charges on the platform:
- As an artist, you pay a 10% platform fee on the funds you deposit into a campaign.
- Creators pay a 20% commission, taken when they withdraw their balance — not when a post is confirmed.
How do withdrawals work?
Reserved funds that were never paid out can be withdrawn once your campaign ends, including amounts held back from posts that paid below the listed price.
On the other side, creators withdraw their balance once every 14 days, and the 20% commission is applied at that point.
All payouts run through Stripe, in local currency where supported.
What happens if my campaign runs low on funds?
If your reserved balance falls to 30% of your original deposit, Musin will notify you to top up. If you don’t, the campaign closes to new creators — but any creator who already accepted before that point is still guaranteed payment for a qualifying post.
Which platforms are supported?
Spotify, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
Do I need to worry about music licensing?
No. Musin supplies creators with platform-cleared direct sound links for each campaign track, so every post uses properly licensed audio for commercial use.
Who can see my track?
While your campaign is active, your track is visible to registered content creators who have linked at least one social media account.
